Precursor of all the wonderful off the wall and esoteric comedy to follow---Monty Python case in point. NPR did a nice piece on him this evening with the head of the Firesign Theat. paying tribute and telling this wonderful story--abbreviated here---he and SM were walking past an undertaking establishment. SM went in and found no one there so he lay down on the counter, crossed his arms on his chest, hit the bell and yelled" shop". Bill H
