Why do the Scots hate Americans? Perhaps cause you all think you live in the best country in the world while we KNOW we do:-) Seriously, I think it does have a lot to do with the loud and arrogant behaviour that seems all too typical of American tourists. The Scots on the whole are a more demure bunch, so it is a clash of personalities/cultures. Americans who adopt a more subdued attitude tend to get on fine and be well liked. Scott
