The cold weather, and icy roads in the morning, seemed to have an effect on the crowd on Saturday. That really was unfortunate, because all the stages were either in heated buildings, or inside tents which offered shelter from the viscious elements. Apart from a few travel problems for some of the bands, everything went fine. Sunday brought slightly warmer temps and a decent sized crowd. I did hear that beer slaes were nearly on par with last years - draw your own conclusions....

The band I was most impressed with this year, among the many superb ones in attendance, was bohola. A trio based out of Chicago, with Jimmy Keane on accordian, Sean Cleland on fiddle, and Pat Broaders on 'zouk and vocals. Their set was a fiery combination of reels and jigs at lightspeed, interspersed with some great singing. What set them apart from all the other great music was the passion they displayed on stage - their final set on Sunday was truly a marvel.
