For some time I have been trying to influence my children's musical interest by exposing them to folk music. Today my middle daughter asked me about a Scottish folk song she had heard on a popular NYC radio station not known for folk music, which she found to be hillarious and quite nice musicly. I wasn't able to satisfy her question but felt at last I've made an inroad. The song is about two curious youngsters who come upon a sleeping Scotsman and wanting to know about the underneath of his kilt, venture forth and having discovered the truth tie a blue ribbon upon his, well you know what. Then upon rising from his sleep and releaving himself near a tree another Scotsman doing a similar act remarks that the first Scotsman has ovbiously "won" a blue ribbon, at his last contest. Would anyone know of this song? I'd love to be able to present it to my daughter and even play it on my guitar. Please help, this may be my chance to save her musical soul from that junk she normally listens to. Thanks
Ellen
