eh - that's the O'Connell monument Lynn. I don't think they've started putting up monuments to the other Daniel yet. The bigger pub sounds like Cruises. Most of the above advice is still current. Also try Mickey Kerin's (near May Kearney's on a Friday (may not be open 29th - which is true for almost all pubs in Ireland) or PAddy Quinn's in the markets on Saturday.
