I'm referring to a spoken-over-music piece by Harvey Mandel on the album "Planetary Warrior"
Just to titillate the lewd and licentious libidos of anyone who hasn't experienced this one, here are some sample lyrics:
It was another PAYDAY and I'm tired of being a MR. GOODBAR So when I saw Miss HERSHEY standing behind the POWERHOUSE At the corner of CLARKE and FIFTH AVENUE
I whipped out my WHOPPER
Look you little REESE PIECE, don't be a ZERO - Be a LIFESAVER
As my BUTTERFINGER went up her tight little KIT KAT
Oh CRACKERJACK you're better than the THREE MUSKETEERS
Well, that should whet your prurient appetites...I have the album and can post the lyrics, but not sure if it fits the Mudcat venue. Anyone who wants lyrics can PM me.
FYI, this is the only novelty number on the album; the rest is straight-up jazzy rock.
Now the historical question: What is Harvey Mandel's background? (I haven't searched at all; looking for quick-fix from Mudcatter knowledge base.) I recently heard he had been a member of a (60's?) group whose name I recognized, but now I forgot it. Possibly Spanky and our Gang?? Idle minds want to know...
