Wow! I just joined Mudcat 2 or 3 days ago and am overwhelmed at the feeling of community here. This thread and what I've read of the Music Therapy thread have had me wiping tears from my eyes while smiling. I'm so happy to have found this jewel in the gravel pit of the internet! I've also been inspired to look for a volunteer opportunity where I can use my guitar in a hospice or similar situation; 'twould give me the chance to play for others instead of just here at home for the wife and cats. And on top of it all, I've found an excellent larder from which I can feed my newly developed interest in folk music. Thank you Night Owl and everyone else!
