The poem that Masato links to above is Adam McNaughtan's song. - This paints a nostalgic picture of tenement living in Glasgow of yesteryear. The first song that masato links to was written partly as a more gritty "reply" to Adam's song, highlighting more of the problems in tenement life. Adam, I believe, would sing his own song, followed by the second as it counterpointed his own nicely.
Adam's song was quoted by the Prince of Wales (no less) when opening the Glasgow Garden Festival.
Both songs are fine, and are still in circulation.
