I just hope Elton John isn't beavering away at his piano as we speak. My Mam's most enduring memory of the Queen Mother was seeing a Pathe Newsreel at the pictures. She was stood holding a shotgun, next to a pile of dead Tigers. It had apparently been a great days shooting. Mam left the cinema in tears. Regarding the Princess Di 'fan,' if Di been living in a two bed maisonette in Manchester she would probably have been branded an unfit mother. Having said all this, a family just lost someone they probably loved and I know what that feels like.
