Thanks for the response Jim.. The only info I remember from the song was the name "The River" and the fact that he kept on saying he would walk in the river and drown. I was half asleep when I heard it but managed to write down Lamberts name. It was broadcast on WNYC in NYC but I checked the website and found no archives. If I can remember more lyrics from the song I will post them. You know how it is ..sometimes they just pop into your head sometimes.. I believe the he named the river too but I'm not sure unfortunately..
