Filmed w/3 b/w cameras at the Hollywood Bowl in L.A. James Brown, Leslie Gore, Jan and Dean, Rolling Stones all live. There was a second one shot with Smokey Robinson, Ike and Tina Turner, etc. Someone combined the two a few years ago, spliced in segways of Chuck Berry in color and called it 'That Was Rock'(I think). It's 'ok', but if you can get copies of the original films intact and uncut the performances are much longer(and better). I rented the Chuck Berry one to show to my son and nephews and they came away with much respect for all. In turn we watched a 2 hr. video of a punk group called NOFX(No-f-ex), drank some beer(except my son...too young)and told lies to one another. It was fun...a total 'guy hang'
