SCOTTISH OR IRISH ? Westering Home is definitely a Scottish song. However, I have a CD "THE IRISH TENORS-ELLIS ISLAND" (Music Matters, 2001) in which Anthony Kearns, Ronan Tynan and Finbar Wright sing Trasna Na Dtonna (Over the Waves) in Irish language. Its tune is similar to, or almost same as that of "Westering Home". The song is included in "Iish Medley". Yes, the Irish changed the song to their own one.
