GUEST,Jay Ball Lyr Req: Slightly Faded (David Campbell) (43) 18 May 02

I heard the following song (lyrics approximate!) in folk clubs around Newbury, Berks., UK, in the late 60s:

Walking lightly, smiling slightly,
you come back looking slightly faded.
Morning sunshine shining brightly
on your lips of faded red.

CHORUS:
And you know darn well, I know you completely,
And you can't fool me, you can't fool me.

Your hair is tumbling, ?????????
Walk on by you painted lady.
Your hands are fumbling, your lips are mumbling,
Trying to find some words to say.

I'd love to know the full lyrics of this song, and anything else at all about it please. Thanks. Jay jay@rite.fslife.co.uk
