Your plea reminds me of the time my husband and I ran out of gas early one Sunday morning outside of Hamilton on a run from NY to MI. Didn't quite know what to do until a gruff old Scot picked us up, took us to the only open station for miles, and returned us to our car. When we offered him some money for his trouble, he shook his head and muttered, "It's me Christian duty." I can hear that rolled "R" to this day.
