I'm English & Irish. I spent some time in Tromso back in the late 50's. Just recently received a new Tom Russell CD called 'THE MAN FROM GOD KNOWS WHERE', there is a lot of Norwegian Hardanger fiddle and key harp music by Annbjorg Lien and some marvelous singing by Sondre Bratland and Kari Bremmes. I wonder if this album is being played in your country? It is sub-titled An Immigrant Song Cycle, all written by Tom Russell and following his ancestors' travels from Norway and Ireland to this country. Also includes Irish Uilleann Pipes by Eoin O'Riabhaigh. as well as some great vocals by Dolores Keane and Iris Dement. Quite a Cd. et me know if you've heard it. Good to know you.
