So I was having this great conversation with friends last night. We were remembering who our favorite hometown band/artist was growing up--but the hitch was it had to be a musical act that gave you really good vibes of local pride.

I was surprised with myself with the first thing that popped into my head was (being a New Yorker) the band The Young Rascals, later just The Rascals. They had GREAT good vibes songs.

At the time, my fave band was really an outfit called The Blues Project (anyone remember them?), although I also loved listening to the Rascals on the radio. But then I realized I listened to Blues Project on the turntable, but the Rascals were one of my faves on the radio.

So--here is the challenge. Your fave homies either live (ie local musicians) or radio homies that you associate with good vibes. Give us your lists people, and let's have some SUMMER FUN with it!
