Creeping desperately here, in response to Kat's Stravinsky reference, and away from the skirmishing between the Tans and the IRA -- When Dame Myra Hess made her post-war return to the USA, my friends and I were kicked out at the beginning of the second half for uncontrolled hilarity and guffawing. During the intermission, the lady in front of us had referred to the famous Russian cellist Piatogorsky as "Paddy O'Gorsky", another shameless Irish theft that left us hysterical (we were only 17). We supposed he was related to that other noted Russo-Irishman, Marshal Tim O'Shenko.
