PS's songwriting has constantly improved but I still get a rare buzz from the "raw edge" of his very first solo album "The Paul Simon Song Book". Choose any from "He Was My Brother", "A Church Is Burning", "I Am a Rock", "A Most Peculiar Man", "Leaves That Are Green", "Flowers Never Bend with the Rainfall". I still have the vinyl - unsophisticated, magical stuff.
