It would be nice to do a lot of things for free. However, Sing Out pays its staff and its contributors, as well as the collectors/editors of Rise Up, and the performers on the teacheing cds and tapes. None of these people make a very fancy living from this work and we are often behind in our payments to them. As a result of all of the above, we have to charge for our publications and can't afford to make it all available for free. -Bennet (a Sing Out Boardmember)
