My cousin sailed on the Murmansk 'run'.His name - Ray Pearson. He had an amazing run of luck. Each time he moved to a new ship, the one he had just left was torpedoed. I remember the name of one - the Fort Frederick - from Manchester I think. Paradoxically - later on I was very friendly with a German POW from the Kriegsmarine who had been a crew member of a U-Boot. That's how it goes... HelenJ.
