I would also add that it is not truly American angst that you see coming out in American film. America is a vast cross cut of world culture with some of it's own uniqueness mixed in. What Hollywood pumps out is not necessarily what we here live or feel. It's what they can sell, not only to us, but to the rest of you poor shlubs as well. American films are translated into a vast array of languages for that very reason. Don't ask me why...but in any case, I blame Hollyweird, not America. Hollyweird really does *not* have it's finger on the pulse of America. It has it's finger on the pulse of those that march to *Hollywoods* rhythm. And anyone who's been there can tell you...Hollywood aint America.
