the needle on my newish Sony record lp whatever player wore out and I bought a new needle cartridge for it. I eventually got the thing on, but now when a try to listen to something the needle "skids" towards the center of the disk making a very displeasing sound. I set the anit-skid dial to 1.5 which is reccommended in the directions, but have tried all possible settings to no avail. I have also tried adjusting the counter weight thing, but that doesn't seem to help much either. Any other tips would be greatly apprecieated. thanks for the help, frustrated. : - (
