This song was written by Frank Hennessey, circa 1965. Frank had a Folk-Group called "The Hennesseys", with Dave and Paul, and were an Irish band from Cardiff, They became well known at the time and I met them when I co-hosted a Folk Club at The "Skinner's Arms in Aberystwyth, with a good friend Elved Evans as the Host. Frank wrote several songs which were rather good including this one and "Farewell The Colliery Workers" which is in the DT. Frank is now "something big" in the Welsh BBC! Unfortunately the songbook which I wrote the words in went walkies one day, and I can't remember all the words! I'm off to Bridgenorth this weekend but when I get a chance I'll try to resurrect the words, if no-one else can provide them more quickly. I believe it has been recorded by some Irish bands and perhaps a Mudcatter can point you in the right direction. Best of Luck, Dave
