There was a short-lived sitcom in the U.S. called "Sweet Surrender", starring the actress Dana Delany (This was before "China Beach".) Mostly forgettable, I suppose, but I particularly enjoyed the synth-driven theme music. Other TV themes, off the top of my head, that I enjoyed were "St. Elsewhere", "Newhart" (the series with Larry, Darryl, and Darryl,) and the British series "The Sandbaggers". "The Avengers" was also great not only for the theme but for the entire soundtrack. Also liked the theme and soundtrack for the PBS (produced by BBC?) "Miss Marple" episodes. I guess I could go on and on. Haven't got my thoughts together regarding movies, but I would certainly second the vote for "Hear my Song"!
