THe Country music Hall of fame CD "The Carter Family" MCAD-10088 has "Answer to Weeping Willow" A.P. Carter recorded June 9 1936 New York. Origional issue Decca 5254. Does anyone know the last word of the 2nd. verse?? Yes she died before I told her That I loved her true and kind And that I did not mean to fool her But she left me here to??????? The word sounds like one of the following. Live on? resign? reside? Any ideas Thanks Allan S.
