West Midlands..... I don't know if this will help, not knowing where in the W.Mids you are.

There is an excellent session in Coventry every Tuesday night at the Four Provinces (known as the Four P's), on the corner of Allesly Old Road and Lord Street just past Spon End.

Since it's in an Irish club and Ceoltas meet upstairs on a Tuesday, it's a mostly Irish session, but all sorts of things have crept at times in including African drummers, Spanish singers, Didgeridoos (spelling?), classical guitarists etc. There's a liberal dose of English and continental music thrown in as well as plenty of bodhran's and a wide age range so you wouldn't feel out of place.

It's the highlight of my week :-)
