An, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to be a bit "cruel" here, as well!...(... it's only fair! :-) ...but I don't think that (at the start) little girls -as a majority- are more into pink than any other color! True, they're getting EXPOSED through a lot of it in their "tender" age, but I believe that's a marketing thing!... A lot of girlie toys like Barbies, dollies, make-up kits are packaged in pink, more because of the associations this particular vibration is conjuring up! Pink has indeed a lot to do with caring (and more particularly the motherly care!) In its purest form; it is the unconditional love a mother has (ideally speaking!)for her new born babe...It is also a very feminine colour...and it still strikes people to come across a man wearing a pink shirt! It is also a "sexy" colour in its own way!... emphasising more the aspect of soft,romantic feminine beauty (than the other colors with sexy connotations such as red, orange or purple!...) And, of course, because children are easily influenced by adverts, peer pressure etc... it is more likely that, at that age, little girls THINK they prefer that colour above all the rest! You also tend to notice that tomboys of the same age, which aren't into dolls and "household" toys, aren't either into the pink colour! See for yourself what colour you were into as a young child, and what it meant for you!...(Pay attention! this will be taken into account in your reading! :-)
