Actually it was Richard Harris who was Arthur in the film. Sir Richard was on Broadway. That part seems to call people who really aren't singers. But I saw Richard Harris as Arthur in Syracuse some time back. He was great! He talks off a song better and with more feeling than many singers can sing it.
