if it's Father Liam Inglis, then it's 18th c., and probably translated as ALMS, & likely having to do with St. Bridget (English spelling) who wished for vessels of alms for the poor, rather than 'THE DOLE' which would be it's more modern meaning, haven't heard it yet, but curious now |
