I think that it can actually be informative to say "So and so made a great post" when the question is for opinions rather than simple information. Scenario one: someone asks, Are Elixir strings any good? Mudcatter X says "Yes, because...", Mudcatter Y says "No, because...", and the thread ends there. Scenario two: the thread continues, one person says "I agree with Mudcatter X" and thirty people say "I agree with Mudcatter Y." I would say that while the first scenario does provide the questioner with something to think about, the second scenario provides more information. Marion
