I've been trying to identify a song that I vaguely remember from pop radio of the 1970s. It was a Bob-Seger-like ditty about sex in the back of a pick-up, when the guy knew he was leaving town the next day. I don't remember much of the lyrics, but it went something like this: The swamp gas flares And the [night birds?] they cry out in flight It feels right Lying with my back to the [moonlit?] night. You can hear me sing a probably off-key version of it by clicking "Hear My Voice" on my Yahoo profile: http://profiles.yahoo.com/hesternic If anyone can identify the song, I'd be thrilled. It's been running around my head for a quarter of a century now. Cheers, Hester
