Since she obviously could buy anything in Saks -- or ASK them for it in exchange for promo -- she's got a klepto problem, which goes hand in hand with certain other syndromes of waiflike females. like anorexia. The whole thing WAS handled badly from start to finish.

AND, can you imagine $6000 of stuff fitting in a HAT? What on arth was it?? diamond-studded scarves?
