Fay The scene in West Yorkshire in the 60's (25) The scene in West Yorkshire in the 60's 19 Nov 02

I am doing the degree up in Newcastle and for part of this year's work I'm carrying out a study of the state of traditional song in West Yorkshire in the 60's and 70's.

I am interested in the emerging clubs, festivals, publications, broadcasts and key figures of the 'revival' scene as well as people continuing traditions in the area.

I'm trying to create an overview of what was actually happening, repertoire, setting, situation, practitioner - basically who was doing what, where, when and possibly why.

If you have any information you think I might find useful, please give me whatever you can. I might be looking for more specific things in the future, this is just a starting point to try and get my head rolling.

Thanks for your time, Love Fay
