what do you recommend I do/go within 5 hours train journey from Amsterdam 23 Dec-2 Jan. I know about the museums. am thinking folk music and special interest/activity breaks. If I was in the British Isles I'd be interested in winter schools like Boghill Centre and Frankie Kennedy school in Ireland, or a BTCV conservation working holiday.

also can anybody tell me whether permits are required for busking in Amsterdam? elsewhere in the Netherlands?
