Bruce Cockburn's got a couple of gooduns. One from his Christmas album called Early On One Christmas Morn is great. There's one from an earlier cd, I think it's Nothing But A Burning Light, and the song is .....shoot! can't think of the title, but it's a great telling of the Christmas story with lines like: "joseph comes to mary with his hat in his hand. he says'forgive me, I thought you were with another man.' She says, 'What if I had been, but I wasn't anyway. But guess what? I felt the baby move today ...'". Just some great stuff. There's another couple of tunes by Randy Stonehill that I think are pretty cool and relatively obscure. One's called the Christmas Song, I think from an album sometime in the '70's called Welcome To Paradise. Then he's got one from a record called Stories, titled "Christmas At Denny's" which I just love, but have never gotten around to figuring out, so if you get this one let me know how you do it. Cheers, SB
