On friday I am going to a talk by Tony Lewery who wrote books on
signwriting on boats and such.I thought he might be interested in
some pics of my Dad signwriting the buses in Hull Cooperation bus
depo some years ago.
When we were on the net Dad said..go to Bert Hinkler...I hadn't a clue
who he was!Sooorry!
He turns out to be Americas equivailant of Hulls very own Amy Johnson.
Wot I also didn't know was that sometime in the 30's when Bert's bi plane came to Brough (pronounced Bruff!) me dad signwrote all the places around the world on the wing of this plane.
As there is a museum dedicate to Bert Hinkler I wondered if it would be possible to find a photo of this plane on the net!
Dad would be impressed!!!
