I know, Pete. But, I've got Scruggs Pegs on it and can't really use them effectively so I carry around an old Gibson Mastertone just for that and it's a lot of bother.
It's no trouble mounting a neck on a Bacon. And this banjo pot was made by FJ Bacon himself in 1925. I like it's sound ( and weight)a lot better than my Gibson, and, that's saying some.

Lately I've been playing banjo with Rock bands. It seems that we're slowly fiding a whole new use for the 5 string and a new way of going about it. I didn't go looking for a new picking method, it just sort of hppened. It doesn't resemble any of the accepted picking styles, it's just--- random, whatever is needed is what comes next/.
