If only we realy meant happy new year....how many people just say it in a purely rhetorical fashion,when they are realy in all honest just wishing themselves another year of over indulgence....then of course theres our world in turmoil....what good is a happy new year to a child starving or orphaned through tyranny perpetuated by the western so called Christian worlds arms trade and greed for oil....Surely its a nonsense to suppose that the words angst will dissipate simply because we repeat parrot fashion the glib meaningless sentiment of wishing complete strangers a happy new year
