Thanks Tim, I know of Stanalane near Bushmills, in fact my sister- in law comes from there, I don't really think that it would
fit in with the rest of the names in the song, but it's only improbable, not impossible. I got hold of a 1-25,000 map of
N. Derry on the net and looked for a 'stanalane' there, with no
luck. However, I know of placenames in my native part of N. Antrim that are not recorded on any map,so who knows?
