As a child, I was taught The cuckoo comes in April She sings her song in May In June she starts to stutter And July she flies away As far as songs and tunes about cuckoos are concerned, the ones I like best are "The Cuckoo's Nest" and a lovely tune called "The first of May and the last of June".
