Nashville is a good place because it's small, relatively inexpensive and an 'industry town' Get a list of call letters for all the 'NPR type' radio stations east of the Mississippi and tour! There's a club in Pittsburgh called 'the Club Cafe'. It's a very good showcase type club with great sound. Good Luck!
