Oh, I forgot about dark: In A Bad day at Black Rock, Spencer Tracy is a one-armed vet who don't want no trouble, but still has to punch the crap out of a very young Ernest Borgnine and an equally young Lee Marvin. It's a good one. And then there's of course the lurking, silent menace of Robert Mitchum's Cape Fear. (Babe is a first rate classic. It really is "the Citizen Kane of talking pig movies.")
