John Hardly - those comments are very true.

The thing I find most disconcerting is that when, for example, old Mudcat threads are revived there are my old contributions - just as if they were my current opinion. I change my mind as often as I change my socks, so I usually no longer agree with myself. I find that a strong argument for posting as GUEST. Most of what I say I would prefer to be transient & not to be associated with me several months or years later. If what I am saying does not actually need to be identifiably from me then it makes sense to post as GUEST.
