I read an article in The Star one very wet fall day in 1985 which described the life of 93 year old Elizabeth Cotton and announced her performance that night at the Hotel Isabella. I remember being struck by the writers point that she represented one of the last opportunities to see a performer who had been born in the 1800's. So I skipped the Jays/Royals game and spent the 10 bucks - one of the best decisions I've made. See the old ones while you still can.
