An Irish-friendly Greek-American buddy to whom I emailed that page from The Onion (original post above) deadpanned the reply, 'I've read & re-read it over and over, and I just can't find the stereotype at all. Whatever do they mean?' :) But yeah, there's a lot more than green-beer-to-excess going on out here in the Diaspora. Why, tonight at the public library in the town next to mine there's a scholarly lecture on "Cu Chulainn: the Hound of Ulster". So a Happy St. Patrick's Day, in all that it means to each; and "Here's a health to one and all, to the big and to the small, to the rich and poor alike and foe and friend..."
