The brown snakes are tree climbers and eat groundnesters eggs and tree nesters eggs. They also blow out electrical juncture boxes. I know when I was there I saw one bird, aside from chickens. One bird in a year. It stopped traffic and a nearby school was trotted out to look at it. I hope the birds have made a comeback since then. There's no rabies on Guam, so there are lots of dogs and cats in the jungle (call them 'Boonies'), so maybe the dogs have taken care of the snakes. The dogs and cats aren't wild, either. Friendly. You want a pet...just whistle. Should be websites or e-mail directories with Guam addresses.
