I'm looking for the first world war version of this song. I know Michael Cooney recorded it. The verses run through where the various ranks are - generals, colonels, corporals - ending up with the privates hanging on the old barbed wire. We'd like to sing this at a folkie weekend coming up so any help is much appreciated. thank you!
