Hello all--

Just checking: you know how Google has an automated news-gathering program, posting current stories without human editorial intervention? Like any thinking person, I'm curious about how the war is being reported by the other side, so I've tried clicking on the stories posted from Arab sources. EVERY single one of them comes back "site temporarily unavailable." Now truly curious, I began searching for non-coalition views through Iraqi News Agency, the Iraqi Mission to the UN, the Republic of Iraq, and any number of Arab news outlets. All the same result.

While I was doing this, the phone rang (I have DSL), and when I picked it up, there was a shrill electronic whine on the other end. But I'm probably just being paranoid, right?

So is our news being officially filtered? Are there sources blacked out? Is it the US doing it, or the Google people? Or just a really remarkable coincidence?

Peace,

Adam
