They have this amazing youthful enthusiasm -- which probably enables them to ignore the purists, avoid the genre labels, and simply create what they feel. There is still no question that their pure musicianship has it's roots in the precision and instrumentation of bluegrass -- they've just punched out of the bag and turned it a bit sideways. The first album was a bit closer to the grass than the second, which fully exposes their creativity and fearless musicianship. |
