I saw ranges from $1.46 to $1.56 a gallon for regular 87-octane here (Texas Gulf Coast) today. It's lowered about 5 cents just lately. Our gas doesn't seem to get that expensive here--I heard a lot of horror stories about cities in other parts of the country but ours never got that high (gee, I wonder why . . . ).

I'm all for the pee-powered car, especially if my brother's along for the ride. Dad and I can go for hours without stopping so we wouldn't be much help.
